This sounded strange since I've always had excellent teeth and had no pain at all. I decided to go to a different dentist for my next cleaning and checkup. Although I never got any of the work done that Dr. Mantooth said I needed, I now have no cavities, need no crown, and need no extraction. Apparently all of those problems either healed themselves or the new dentist doesn't know what he's doing.

They run on schedule and my hygienist is thorough but gentle.

To add insult to injury, I had to pay Dr. Mantooth's office $25 to sent my x-rays to the new dentist. They took more X-rays than any dentist has ever taken on me; I thought they were just being thorough. When they sent the x-rays to the new dentist, they only sent one. So my insurance had to pay for new x-rays anyway.

Did I mention that Dr. Mantooth's office had recently purchased a crown machine and can now make crowns in-house? A friend went there last week, like me, she has always had excellent teeth, she now needs a crown too.

I went to Dr. Mantooth's office 6 months ago for a cleaning and checkup. After trying to sell me everything from a $200 toothbrush to Botox, they informed me that I needed over $1,250 of work including a crown, extraction, and filling. They told me I was lucky that my copay would only be about $500.

I called and I told the person that I was in a lot of pain and she said I could come in the next day and please bring $350. For an extraction I asked if I could set up a payment plan and she said they do not give credit if I wanted my tooth pulled the most it would be is $350 in cash at the time of service. I guess I'll have to stay in pain until I can save up the money. No compassion thanks Dr. Mantooth .
