Disclaimer - The Mother Tree Treehouse is a tribute to my mother Jean Cornett, so I'm a *little* biased. This incredible structure was built in 2015 on the banks of the Suwannee River. The build was documented for the syndicated reality show "Treehouse Guys". During the build, and the filming of the show my mother passed away, and the build became a tribute to her. The future uses of the Mother Tree are yet to be determined, but for now it is available for tours on weekends (and extra days during major festivals). There are videos telling the incredible story of the 72 day build, and special features built into the house. The treehouse is 3 stories high, and has 4 rooms. The 200 year old oak tree literally passes through the interior. Plan a total of about 30 minutes for the tour. Tours could end at any time as plans develop, so be sure to put this on your list soon. There is a short walk down a wooded trail to get to the house, and there are a lot of stairs to climb to get inside, including a spiral staircase that some fine a little scary.
Relaxing environment (we went when there was no music festival), Treehouse tour guide was awesome, fun for kids, food was not good. We only went for a day trip.
